My name is Thibaut Delaville, a French wood marquetry artisan from Paris, now based in Amsterdam for the past three years. Trained in art cabinetmaking at École Boulle, I’ve developed a practice that bridges traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.

After my studies, I ran my own workshop for two years, then collaborated with various companies in cabinetmaking and interior design. Creation has always been central in my family: a grandfather who was a glassblower, a great‑grandfather who worked in wood marquetry, and a brother who is a designer.

With Studio Delaville, I design and create wood marquetry pieces, wall panels, trays, furniture and bespoke objects. I enjoy working in close dialogue with clients to imagine patterns that tell their stories, through the choice of wood species, motifs and formats. Each project becomes a unique piece, conceived for them and with them.
